Walkers are Welcome

The Vale of Pewsey is delighted to be part of the Walkers are Welcome community.

This scheme ensures that rights of way are checked and any issues sorted out as quickly as possible.  This means that the quality of walking in the Vale of Pewsey should be good.  However, please remember that the Vale is a farmland setting – this means that there will be cultivation, crops and animals in the fields.

We are also not in a national park with rangers, so our checking is all done by volunteers and at peak growing times (spring and summer), overgrowth may occur.

The map below shows all the routes that we endeavour to keep clear and all of these routes are walking routes that are downloadable from our website.  We also monitor all rights of way in Pewsey Parish and rights of way in Bedwyn are also monitored.

If you encounter an issue on any routes in the Pewsey Vale, or on the directions in our leaflets, we would encourage you to let us know so that we can progress a resolution.  Just email the information to info@visitpewseyvale.co.uk – we will confirm that we have received the details, let you know if we need more information and the issue will be logged and managed.  Ideally, please provide us with which walk the issue is on, where it is located on the OS map (or What3Words) and an image and description of what the issue is.

For ideas on multi-day walks in the area, have a look at our itineraries which have day by day stages, gpx files to download and lots more information for you to use!
